Wordpress 2.8 upgrade

Friday, June 12th, 2009

Looks like the Wordpress 2.8 uprade went smoothly. All of my plugins worked with no problems, and my theme didn’t need any modifications!

I’ve been putting it off for months, because I didn’t want to deal with the possible issues of upgrading to 2.8 from 2.0 (there were several versions in the middle that I missed). Looks like I could have done it a long time ago and been fine.

Anyway, let me know if you encounter any issues or oddities with the site. Thanks!

Google Chrome!

Eep! Google has released their own web browser. Watch out Microsoft!

I took a look. It’s pretty nice. Not a lot of extra crap in the window to crowd your browsing experience. Very clean, and simple. It’s a little shabby on the png transparency, and some of the CSS3 features, but for their first Beta, it’s not bad.

You go Google!

Cold day in H-E-Double-Hockeysticks

I just stumbled upon a javascript library that makes IE6 “act like IE7.” It works, it fixes many of the CSS flaws of IE6 and makes my coding/building of pages much less stressful. What’s even better, is that it is meant for brwosers lower than IE7, but if you allow it to run on IE7, it even makes IE7 better. holy crap Microsoft, someone on SourceForge managed to do with a few java files what you could not do with hundreds of programmers who have years of experience in your think tank… for shame
